Linktree is the default answer to "where do I put all my links?", and for a page that is literally a list of links it's fine. The reasons to look for an alternative are usually the same three: the logo at the bottom of the free page, the price of removing it, and the fact that the page lives on linktr.ee, not on anything you own. crisp was built around those three.

What's actually different
It's a page on your domain. A Linktree page is linktr.ee/you. A crisp page is www.your-domain.com (and also you.crisp.to, if you don't have a domain yet). That changes what the link in your bio says about you, it means the address is yours if you ever leave, and it's the thing people mean when they say "I need a small website", which is what a crisp page is designed to be: name, photo, what you do, the buttons that matter, a way to contact you, a place to leave an email.
The buttons do things, not just link. A WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a message already typed. A call button dials. Directions open the map app. On a page for a hairdresser, a trainer or a tradesperson, those convert far better than a link to a contact page.
The links behind the buttons are real short links. Every button on a crisp page is a crisp short link, with its own click count and referrer. You can reuse those same links in a Story sticker, a flyer or an email, and see each placement separately. And any link can be printed as a dynamic QR code that you can re-point later.
Nothing expires. If you stop paying, the custom domain pauses and the page keeps working at you.crisp.to. The links and QR codes keep working on every plan, including Free, and after you cancel. That's section 4 of the Terms, and links already created are protected from any later change to it.
What Linktree does better
An honest comparison has this section. Linktree lets you sell digital products, courses and tips directly on the page; crisp doesn't do commerce. Linktree has a much larger template and theme gallery, a mobile app, and a long list of integrations (Mailchimp, Shopify, Google Analytics, Meta pixel). It also has years of brand recognition: people know what a linktr.ee link is.
If you sell on your page, or you want the ecosystem, Linktree Pro or Premium is the right tool and you should use it. If your page is there to get people to book, message, follow or sign up, crisp does that for less, on your own domain, without advertising someone else's product at the bottom.
Moving from Linktree
- Create a free crisp account and claim your handle (
you.crisp.to). - Rebuild your links in the builder; most pages take five minutes. Add contact buttons and an email block if you want them.
- Publish, open the page on your phone, check every button.
- Optional: upgrade to Site and connect
www.your-domain.comin the builder; add the CNAME at your registrar and wait for it to go live. - Change the link in your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube bios to the new address. Leave the old Linktree up for a week in case anything still points at it.
There's no import tool because there's rarely anything to import: a bio page is a handful of links, and you'll want to rethink their order anyway.
Who this is for
Creators and small businesses whose link-in-bio page is really a tiny website: a salon, a personal trainer, a photographer, a restaurant, a freelancer, a band. If that's you, the Site plan is $4 a month, and the free plan is enough to build the page and decide.
