About

About crisp

crisp is a small link platform made by Devspace Hub SRL: short links, dynamic QR codes and a small website on your own domain, with one promise behind all of it: nothing you publish is switched off because of your plan.

What crisp is

crisp is a link platform. You give it a long URL and get back a short one (crisp.to/xcz) that you can edit later and that counts its clicks. You can print that link as a dynamic QR code, so a menu or a poster keeps working when the destination changes. And you can give one short link to a small website on your own domain, with your links, contact buttons and an email sign-up on it, for $4 a month.

Those three things usually come from three different companies. We think they're one product, because they're the same object: an address you hand out that you need to keep working and want to measure.

Who makes it

crisp is built and operated by Devspace Hub SRL, a small software company in Romania, and run by its founder, Vasile Dragan, who also writes most of the guides on the blog. There's no sales team and no investors; the product is funded by its subscriptions.

That shapes how it's built. The whole platform runs on Cloudflare's network, so a redirect answers from the data centre nearest the person who tapped it. There's no server to keep patched, which is a large part of why the free plan can exist and why the prices are what they are.

The promise

Links and QR codes made with crisp are never switched off because of your plan. Not on the free plan, not if you cancel, not if you never log in again. It is written into section 4 of the Terms of Service, which protects links already created from any later change to that section, and which says that if crisp ever closed you would get at least 12 months' notice with everything still redirecting and a full export.

We made it because the opposite is the industry norm, and it causes real damage: a printed code that stops working when a trial ends, a page.link URL that went dark when Google shut down Firebase Dynamic Links in 2025. Links outlive campaigns, and now they outlive them in AI assistants' memories too. A link service that can switch your links off is a liability dressed as a tool.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data or your visitors' data, and we don't run ads. Click analytics are aggregated by day and country; we don't fingerprint visitors or build profiles. The privacy policy is short enough to read.

We don't put trackers on the free QR generator either; it runs entirely in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us.

And we don't claim things we haven't built. Deferred deep links for apps are in early access on the Studio plan and are labelled that way; we'll say when they're done.

Get in touch

Support and everything else: support@crisp.to. The help centre covers the common questions, and the REST API is documented for anyone who wants to build on it, including the WordPress plugin.
